ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Educator, businessman, orchestral conductor and horse trainer, Don Hutson has discovered that many of the same principles used to train horses can have an extraordinary impact when applied to teaching and corporate America. Thousands of teachers in Texas and Colorado, and corporate managers of all levels are adopting his back-to-basics methods. Many have reported back that they are not only getting better results from their students and employees, but also are gaining renewed rewards and personal satisfaction from their profession.

CONROE'S COWBOY CONDUCTOR Dr. Hutson conducts with the Conroe Symphony Orchestra |
Hutson holds a doctorate in musical arts with 12 years' teaching experience at both the high school and college levels, including posts at the University of Oklahoma, Phillips University and the University of Southwest Louisiana. He also owned and operated a textile manufacturing business for 16 years. He draws from these experiences, plus 40 years' work with horses, to share his unique perspective on teaching. This includes the importance of building trusting partnerships; using clear, concise and consistent communications; and keeping expectations high. His visually exciting presentations make one thing quite clear: Failure is not an option.
Working in the ring with horses of different training levels and abilities, Dr. Hutson encourages participants to re-examine the philosophies which guide them at work. On-site follow-up workshops reinforce the message with real-world, problem-solving activities.
In addition to his Cowboy Solution seminars, he enjoys training horses and helping riders of all ages. He also serves as music director and conductor of the Conroe Symphony Orchestra. |
