The Cowboy Solution. Creating Success Through Powerful Partnerships

Sponsoring Us Check List

Sponsoring Cowboy Solutions? Here's what we need:

The Check List:

While The Cowboy Solution can be held in any facility that can handle a round pen and seating , covered arenas are preferred. Rodeo arenas, fair grounds, school Ag facilities, or private arenas work best. At the facility we will also need a sound system, electricity and water.

  • Round-Pen: Please provide a 50-60 foot round-pen . Your local Tractor Supply, a nearby ranch or farm, or implement business may be willing to loan one. If you are unable to provide the pen, please let us know, so we can make arrangements.
  • Sound System: Please provide a sound system.
  • Horse to Train: The Cowboy Solution brings its own horses to clinics within driving distance from Dr. Hutson's  Texas ranch. For clinics outside of Texas, local  horses are used. Please provide horses of different training levels for that purpose. ("Problem horses" are okay as long as they are halter trained.)
  • Facility Access 24-hours prior to event:  In most cases, Dr. Hutson arrives the day before the seminar to give the horses a chance to relax and get used to their surroundings.

Keys to Success

Ways to ensure your program's success:

Introductions: We encourage the administrator in charge of the event to introduce the program and Dr. Hutson. A bio will be provided with your workbook materials.

Bottled Water: Because the event is held outdoors, please provide bottled water for each participant. Many times a local grocery store or soft drink distributor is willing to donate the product. If the product or other refreshments are donated, we will be glad to recognize the donor during the program.

Theme: Because the program is based on a cowboy theme, many schools encourage participants to dress in western attire. In addition, many hosts serve a barbeque lunch. Many times a local restaurant will help.

Publicity: Recognize your school's efforts in professional development and creativity. See the sample Poster/Ad on this website that you can customize to promote the event ahead of time. Also, feel free to invite your local newspaper, television or radio stations to your event. (See sample press release and press photos.)

Follow-up: The Cowboy Solution is more than a "one-shot" event. We offer follow-up programs that can be used throughout the year to help participants apply what they learn. Call for details.
